About The Role

 

We are looking for an experienced front-end developer to join our R&D team working on a next generation business enablement system. The position is ideal for candidates looking to work in an environment of rapid innovation and invention, looking to challenge industry norms and standards.

Requirements

 

  • React / TypeScript 
    • TypeScript (1-2+ years production experience) 
    • React and modern React patterns 
    • Components, props, state, hooks, composition, and rendering 
    • Idiomatic React and TypeScript
    • Type safety, generics, unions, and interfaces
    • React debugging, stack traces, and runtime errors 
  • Next.js / Frontend
    • Next.js and SSR fundamentals, understanding SSR, CSR, hydration, and static rendering 
    • Webpack and frontend build tooling
    • Turborepo / monorepo experience 
    • Reusable components and component-based architecture 
  • State management / APIs
    • REST API integration 
    • TanStack Query / React Query 
    • Caching, invalidation, refetching, and optimistic updates 
    • Zustand 
  • Styling
    • Tailwind CSS
    • CSS modules and fundamentals, layout, responsiveness, and broswer behaviour
    • Reusable UI components and shared component libraries 
  • Testing 
    • Jest and unit / component testing 
    • Playwright for end-to-end testing 
    • Understanding unit vs integration vs E2E tests 
  • Performance / Debugging 
    • React peformance and unnecessary re-renders
    • Browser DevTools and React debugging tools 
    • Reading stack traces and debugging production issues 
    • Bundle size, code splitting, and lazy loading 
    • Basic Core Web Vitals knowledge

 

Desirable

 

    • WebSockkets and real-time UI
    • Reconnects, duplicate events, and stale connections 
    • Optimistic UI updates 
    • Docker and containerising frontend applications 
    • CI/CD pipelines 
    • Build and deployment troubleshooting
